October 6th was one of those wedding days where everything just sort of falls into place, without any human interference. The rain just knew when to stop, the sun knew just when to come out.
Teresa and Ben were married on a farm and they’re actually farmers, so it’s about as appropriate as it gets. Florist and coordinator extraordinaire Nkemdi Thompson cut and assembled flowers in the misty morning hours, with fog slowly lolling over the fields while the sun waited patiently for its moment. Days like these are able to go off without a hitch most especially when everything you need is in one place, in this case, the Barn at Wagon Wheel (highly recommend these folks, my friends). It adds a bit of extra quirk when old farmhouses are full of history and surprises around every corner, with weirdo wallpaper to match (ask me how much I love weird wallpaper, by the way). They rounded out their night with a farm-to-table feast and live jams from Bluewater Kings Band.
Family held hands between tears and hugs. Meaningful memories were made. All while we were fortunate enough to stand and bear witness to the love between Teresa and Ben.
I’m better with pictures than words. If you’d like to see what I mean, keep scrolling and see for yourself. Also, I made like 10 ‘broad side of a barn’ jokes and no, none of them were funny.
