My last wedding of 2017 was a banger.

Despite the all-day torrential downpour and unseasonably cold weather, nothing could stop the celebration and good vibes in this big purple warehouse.

They started the day with Glazed and Infused and homemade baked goods courtesy of Kim’s mother (they’re good, ate several, can confirm). They walked down the aisle to Bowie and were witnessed by their family and friends with communal vows. They had their first dance to Alkaline Trio, and they sang every word. Kim and their son Jackson had their own first dance; after dancing for the masses to Taylor Swift, their kiddo shoved his face with s’mores and partied harder than the rest of us. And Kim did all this while slaying in the most stunning gown I’ve ever seen with crushed blue velvet booties. Come on now.

This wedding was sweet and badass, dark and beautiful, heartwarming and touching. And I ate the best piece of red velvet cake I’ve ever had. 100/10, would wedding again. Does that make sense?
