This is going to be a long post with a lot of photos, my friends, so I hope you’ll bear with me.
So, picture this (no pun intended): backyard wedding in Wisconsin (already a win). Bride, groom, and their people rise and shine and get ready in a mint green AirBNB bungalow in the woods. Custom bridesmaids dresses to suit everyone’s styles and bodies. DIY details everywhere, and I mean everywhere – from the tabletops to the trees, the entire place was a vision they crafted and built with their hands. A reception *inside* a tree. Dancing barefoot under the string lights. Local pizza and beer, every La Croix flavor under the sun (Kara loves La Croix more than you, fact), fresh margaritas, a donut wall, and a late night tater tot truck. Great. Now I’m hungry.
The wedding took place at the home where she grew up, one of those cool houses built into the natural hill of the land, surrounded by one of those forests you could get lost in. Kara is the blogger mastermind behind Whimsy Soul, where she is never shy about who she is, what she loves, or where she comes from. I suppose that’s why their wedding was so spectacular. It was authentic, and felt just like home.
