Let this post be my testimony: sunrise sessions are the best engagement sessions. I’m going to say it louder in case you’re in the nosebleeds and can’t hear me: SUNRISE SESSIONS ARE THE BEST ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS. Don’t make me grab my bullhorn.
These cuties are getting married very soon in their home state of Ohio. None of us are morning people, but thanks to sending each other encouraging texts before the sun was up and loading ourselves full of Dunkin Donuts (and later regular donuts), we got up and did the goddamn thing. We played in found light and maybe did a little bit of trespassing (don’t call the cops), but the results were oh-so worth it. Good light aside, I rarely say this about my own work, as I am my own cruelest, most relentless, heartless, harshest critic, but I do believe these images speak for themselves, and they are indeed full of love.
Legit though, besides perfect light, sunrise sessions will always be such a win – the temperatures are far more decent, areas are scarce and not full of commuters or tourists, AND you get to shove some breakfast in your face afterwards and get the fuck on with your day. When we get up that early, we all get to pretend we’ve been super productive. That’s a win/win for everybody.
